Tanita will release the Upper Arm Voice Blood Pressure Monitor BP-CU Hatsune Miku Model, a health device featuring Hatsune Miku's voice for measurement guidance and encouragement. Pre-orders open July 3, 2026 through the Tanita Online Shop. The device includes chatter mode with random health tips and error alerts, with newly drawn illustrations by Kurumitsu.
The device uses Hatsune Miku's voice to greet users on startup, guide them through measurement, and read out results. A Chatter Mode plays random health messages after each reading, such as reminders to hydrate and avoid stress. The monitor also gives corrective feedback if the cuff is too loose or if body movement is detected during measurement.
Illustrator Kurumitsu created a techno-cyber themed design for the collaboration, based on the keywords sound and measurement. The BP-CU Hatsune Miku Model is priced at 14,300 yen (tax included) and is scheduled to ship from mid-March 2027.
