TEAC Corporation's ESOTERIC brand will release the T-01 analog turntable, which adopts the proprietary non-contact drive system ESOTERIC MagneDrive. Shipments begin at the end of September. The T-01 inherits the design philosophy of the Grandioso T1 but integrates the MagneDrive System into the chassis in a two-piece configuration with a downsized power supply unit for easier installation.
Four years after the Grandioso T1 debuted, ESOTERIC is extending its non-contact drive technology to a new model. The T-01 keeps the core of that design, including the MagneDrive System and a 10MHz clock sync for the motor driver, but mounts the drive inside the main chassis and separates the power supply into its own unit.
The turntable supports 33 1/3 and 45 rpm with fine speed adjustment in 0.1% increments. It comes with a static balance type TA-9S tonearm, and armless orders are possible. Up to two additional arms can be installed using optional arm base kits.
Shipments begin at the end of September.
