Transformers MPG Adds Twincast And Rewind To Takara Tomy Line
The set ties Twincast and Rewind to the separately sold MPG-24 and MPG-25 releases, so the line's buyers are being asked to assemble a Headmasters and 2010 display across four purchases rather than one.

Takara Tomy's MPG brand is adding MPG-27 Twincast & Rewind. Twincast transforms from a radio cassette recorder to a robot, and Rewind transforms from a cassette tape to a humanoid robot. The chest grew larger when Blaster powered up into Twincast and is recreated with new parts. Rewind in cassette mode stores inside. The set costs 27,500 yen and is scheduled for late May 2027.
Twincast is the communications officer who was powered up and revived from Blaster in the anime Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: The Headmasters. Rewind, the cassette bot intelligence officer from Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers 2010, is included as a cassette tape that transforms into a humanoid robot.
The abdomen switch opens the chest, which stores the Rewind cassette. The cassette bodies from the separately sold MPG-24 Eject & Rewind and the Steeljaw body from MPG-25 Blaster & Steeljaw also fit, with room for up to two cassettes. Twincast stands about 232mm tall and Rewind about 79mm.
