The November issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine announced that Jaku Amano's A-DO manga will end with its next chapter on November 18. The series went on hiatus in October because of the author's poor physical health and resumed on February 19. The 11th volume stated in July 2025 that the series would end with volume 12, which shipped on July 17, but the manga kept running. Kodansha USA Publishing releases it in English.
Jun Mochizuki's Pandora Hearts manga is getting a third stage musical, PandoraHearts Retrace III -Reverse corte-. It will run at Theater H in Tokyo from September 17 to 26, 2027, then at Sankei Hall Breeze in Osaka from October 2 to 3, 2027. Akira Yamazaki returns to direct and write the script, Harumi Fuuki composes, and Kazan Yokoyama returns as Oz Vessalius.
Premium Bandai opens preorders at 11:00 on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 for three reissued Gunpla. The MG 1/100 Gundam Astray Noir from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY ASTRAY-B is 5,940 yen and ships in January 2027. The HGBD:R 1/144 Eldora Windam and Eldora Dotress from Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE are 2,310 yen each, with the Windam shipping in March 2027. All three are made by BANDAI SPIRITS.

Joe Brammer, CEO of BULKHEAD, posted images of Google Play search results showing unofficial mobile games using the WARDOGS name and thumbnail art. One clone with the identical name has reached 100,000 downloads, and a search for "wardogs fps" shows eight titles with matching thumbnails. The real WARDOGS is in early access on Windows via Steam and is scheduled for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2028.
BULKHEAD introduced a bonus for the blue team in WARDOGS on October 15, the day Season 2 began. The bonus gave Lonestar players 2.5% extra EXP and 5% extra cash, a total of about 100 to 200 additional EXP per match. The studio had announced the measure to address the blue team's low win rate, which BULKHEAD put at around 20%. The following day, October 16, the studio posted a video on X in which CEO Joe Brammer said, "We made the wrong call." Players had rushed to join the blue team, which hurt matchmaking and gave that faction an overwhelming win rate. Tracking also showed the percentage bonus favored top-tier players, who earn more per match, widening the progression gap. BULKHEAD removed the EXP and cash bonus after one day and said it will keep adjusting spawn points, which it found insufficient. The game is in early access on PC via Steam.
Koshidaka will hold "Ukafes!" at Karaoke Manekineko Shibuya Main Store on Saturday, November 7, 2026, with technical cooperation from PANDORA and Sony. Aniplex released the second character promotional video for Fate/EXTRA Record on October 15, focusing on the Masters and Servants of the enemy faction that players will fight in the Moon Holy Grail War. BULKHEAD confirmed the Season 2 update for WARDOGS launches today, October 15, 2026, with maintenance from 17:00 to 18:30. BULKHEAD posted a video outlining Season 2 changes for WARDOGS, its 100-player, three-faction FPS, ahead of the season's October 15 start. Lonestar, the blue faction, gets its uniform saturation adjusted to make players less conspicuous, plus experience point and in-game currency bonuses. Spawn points for all factions will be reset, and Lonestar recruiting ads will run at the other teams' spawn points. BULKHEAD calls the move a social experiment, suggesting it is not permanent.

Shimamura will release goods for the shojo manga Tamon-kun, Which Way Now!? on October 10 at select stores, and from 3:00 PM the same day on its Shimamura Park online store. Ohta Publishing will release CONTINUE SPECIAL Armored Trooper Votoms: Gray Witch on November 19, a single-issue magazine built entirely around Mamoru Oshii's theatrical anime of the same name. The volume runs 80 pages in full color, priced at 1,980 yen including tax, in B5 variant format. It carries a long interview with Oshii, who directs the film, and a talk between Miyuki Sawashiro, who plays Ash Vamps, and Asami Ando, who plays Maki Stauffenberg. Sumire Uesaka, cast as a young maintenance soldier, contributes a feature on her attachment to the Votoms series, and the magazine includes a complete commentary on the original Armored Trooper Votoms. The film opens nationwide in Japan on November 20, one day after the magazine. It is a two-part theatrical series, with the first part arriving on that date and the second part's release timing still to be announced.

Polish creator Lukasz Twardowski develops it alone as DELANIVO GAMES. A free demo covers the first two missions, roughly 25 minutes, and the game takes part in Steam Next Fest from Monday, October 19 to Monday, October 26.
Yajuro Bando, who plays Public Security Bureau Chief Sano Yutaro in TBS's Sunday Theater VIVANT, will appear live in the studio on Friday, October 9 on the morning news program THE TIME,. His segment is scheduled to begin around 6:30 AM, and he is set to appear in both the entertainment and weather segments. The booking is a collaboration between THE TIME,, which marked its 5th anniversary in October, and VIVANT, whose second season resumed October 4.

The sixth live-action series based on Yaro Abe's Shinya Shokudo manga has confirmed its returning cast and an October 20 premiere on MBS, TBS and other Japanese channels. Kaoru Kobayashi returns as Master, with Mansaku Fuwa, Toshiki Ayata, Tamae Ando, Joe Odagiri and others back as cafeteria regulars. Joji Matsuoka, Nobuhiro Yamashita and Shotaro Kobayashi return to direct, joined by Satoko Yokohama and Ryo Yoshida.
The official X account for the Sunday Theater drama VIVANT released new visuals of 16 cast members during Silver Week. One image drew the most attention: Kaoru Yuki, played by Fumi Nikaido, looking straight ahead with her face covered in mud and what appears to be a smile. A beta test before launch drew more than 210,000 concurrent players, and that figure doubled to 420,000 on September 13. Kojima Productions announced on September 17, 2026, during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast, that Bill Skarsgård will play the lead in PHYSINT, the new spy action title directed by Hideo Kojima. Skarsgård plays the protagonist, the character the player controls. A new teaser visual uses photos Kojima took himself of Skarsgård and Charlie Fraser during costume fittings, scans, and camera tests held earlier this year. Skarsgård joins a cast that already includes Fraser, Ma Dong-seok, and Minami Hamabe, whose involvement was announced earlier. Kojima said he had long been a fan of Skarsgård's work and that Skarsgård is also a fan of his, and that the tests left him confident in the project's direction. Casting, actor scans, and work with outside creators are ongoing, and more cast announcements are planned. In the same message, Kojima said performance capture and ADR recording on the horror game OD resumed this year after the SAG-AFTRA strike suspension.
Andon Labs announced Pion, a platform that hands company operations to long-running AI agents it calls Persistent agents. A supervisory agent, Andonos, oversees them. Pion supplies email, phone, browser, banking, and terminal access so agents can contact partners, gather information, and make payments. Andon Labs calls the businesses experiments, says the AI may misjudge, and notes Andon Market and Andon Cafe were not profitable when it wrote. Access opens from a waitlist in sequence.
Jeremy Couillard has released Soul Injector Commando on Steam for 1,700 yen, with a 20% discount running until September 22. The game is a first-person soul-injection title whose protagonist is a hybrid of six long-dead humans who receives orders from God and screws souls into the world's wealthy, who have fled into maze-like underground shelters. Applicants join Jinkaku Uka Keikaku Light and take two screenings at once: a streaming test on TikTok LIVE and a singing submission screening in the nana app. Strong performers in the streaming test move to one-on-one development, V-body provision, and monetization support, while nana music holds regular singing screenings.
