AIR

Key's visual novel AIR is currently available on Steam as part of a Summer Sale promotion, with no recent announcements regarding new adaptations, ports, or other developments.

Synthesized from 30 Yomimono stories · updated Jun 28

Key's visual novel AIR appears in the Steam Summer Sale 2026 as one of 17 titles from the Visual Arts brand, discounted up to 65% off until July 10. The sale bundles AIR alongside other Key classics such as Kanon, CLANNAD, Little Busters!, and Summer Pockets. No other Yomimono stories published in the coverage period address AIR directly, and no new adaptations, sequels, or merchandise have been announced for the title.

The absence of dedicated coverage for AIR in the recent news cycle suggests the property is in a quiet period, with no new anime, game ports, or anniversary events reported. The Steam sale represents the only current activity tied to the visual novel, and it is a routine seasonal promotion rather than a targeted campaign for AIR specifically.

Garena announced on August 3 that it is developing Palworld Online, a mobile MMORPG based on Pocketpair's Palworld IP, with a release planned within 2026 for iOS and Android. Corsair Cove City Builder Launches on PC Stores

Hooded Horse released the city-building game Corsair Cove on July 31, 2026. The game is available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, and it can also be played through PC Game Pass. Developer Limbic Entertainment built the game around pirates who wash up on a remote island with almost no flat land, forcing players to construct towns vertically across steep cliffs and hills. Players combine bridges, zip lines, and elevators to move goods and people across the terrain. Facilities produce items such as alcohol and firearms, but each one requires specific materials, and the pirates need food, so players must set up supply chains. Resources the island cannot provide must be taken by raiding nearby islands, a task complicated by the kingdom's fleet and monsters that patrol the sea and may attack the town. Maintaining military strength before sailing is a stated priority. Pirate cohesion also matters: losing battles or running short on food lowers it, and in the worst case riots break out. Random event choices affect cohesion as well, so players make decisions based on the situation.

Sandfall Interactive Keeps Small Team for Next Project

Sandfall Interactive, the French studio behind the turn-based RPG "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33," stated at a postmortem event in Yokohama on July 26 that it will not expand its team despite the game's success. CEO Guillaume Broche said that creativity comes from the constraints of being small, and that knowing you cannot do everything creates the necessity to focus on what is important. The studio currently has about 26 people, and Broche wants to maintain that scale for the next project, aiming to tackle something "a bit crazy." The event, co-hosted by Epic Games Japan, also included a roundtable with developers from Atlus and Tango Gameworks. Broche described the team's achievement as "a reproducible model," not a miracle, thanks to the right people and tools like Unreal Engine and MetaHuman. The game, released in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, sold 1 million copies in three days and 5 million by October 2025, and won Game of the Year at multiple major awards, including The Game Awards 2025 and the BAFTA Game Awards 2026. Despite this, Broche said the ideal is a scale where everyone knows each other's faces and names.

Players take the role of a governor appointed by a king, traveling to procedurally generated islands to gather resources by clicking, then hiring residents to automate collection and development. Growth elements include a skill tree unlocked through repeated play, artifacts with special effects that can be found by exploring ancient ruins and crushing fossils at a researcher's workbench, and a perk system where fame earned on one island carries over to the next. The game has no time limits or sudden operations, allowing players to progress at their own pace. It will also be exhibited at ChinaJoy 2026 in Shanghai from July 31 to August 3, and now supports Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Pocketpair stated that it 'sincerely supports mod culture' but recommended disabling mods, backing up saves, and verifying game file integrity on Steam. The full release added 47 new base Pals and 25 new subspecies, new areas including Tenyo Village and the World Tree, a revamped main story, and a level cap increase from 65 to 80. The 1.0 update also introduced an Awakening system using Gleamstones. The total player count for Palworld had exceeded 40 million as of July 8. On launch day, concurrent players on Steam surged past 470,000, ranking 4th on the platform behind Counter-Strike 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Dota 2.
