4divinity's new studio Eschatology Entertainment showed Guns of Eschaton at a business booth. The game is the first title from Viktor Antonov since he left ZeniMax in 2022. Raw Fury and Behold Studios announced on August 27 that the co-op 3D dungeon exploration game 'Deep Dish Dungeon' will release on October 13, 2026. The game supports up to three players online and will be available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and PC via Steam. It is verified for Xbox handheld optimization and supports Xbox Play Anywhere. The release date was revealed in a trailer shown during the 'Xbox @ gamescom Broadcast 2026' at gamescom 2026. The game's dungeons are handcrafted, not procedurally generated, and players gather resources, solve puzzles, craft tools, and cook meals at a campsite to build strength for deeper exploration. A playable demo will be exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21, with the first 200 visitors on public days receiving a logo sticker. The game is developed by Behold Studios, known for 'Knights of Pen & Paper' and 'Chroma Squad', and published by Raw Fury, whose catalog includes 'Kingdom' and 'Blue Prince'. The price has not yet been announced.
Harvey Smith told The Game Business that Arkane Studios was near bankruptcy before Dishonored, with only six months of funding left. The studio had nine projects running at once, including work with Electronic Arts and a pitch to Ubisoft, before deciding to focus on what it loved, which led to Dishonored.
The official website for the Reincarnated as a Sword anime announced on Sunday that the second season will debut on the ABEMA streaming service on September 30, followed by a television premiere on Tokyo MX and ABC TV on October 7. HIDIVE released an English-subtitled trailer previewing the opening theme song "Dream of Butterfly" by FZMZ and revealing the ending theme song "Baribari Buddy" by Hanabie. The season will stream on HIDIVE as it airs in Japan, with availability in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. HIDIVE will also host the North American premiere at Anime NYC on August 22, featuring a panel with director Shinji Ishihira and producers Yosuke Shimada and Genta Ozaki. Shinji Ishihira returns to direct at C2C, with Takahiro Nagano writing and supervising scripts, Atsuko Saito designing characters, and Yasuharu Takanashi composing music. The cast includes Ai Kakuma as Fran, Shinichiro Miki as Master, and Yuma Uchida as Jean du Vix. A manga spinoff titled Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita My Dish by Itsuki Fujioka will launch on Micro Magazine's Comic Ride service on September 30.
At Wonder Festival 2026 Summer, held in late July 2026, the AmiAmi Hobby Camp booth featured a wide array of new figure displays from multiple manufacturers. Dengeki Hobby Web reported on colored samples of 'DaiBros Core' Rage Nightveil, 'Girls' Frontline 2' 1913 Battlecruiser, and 'NIKKE' Bay, along with prototypes from 'Warship Girls R' and 'Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium' SOP. Other notable exhibits included painted samples of 'Gakuen Idolmaster' Fujita Kotone, 'Sakura Wars' Sakura Shinguji, and 'Evangelion' Rei and Asuka. The Alphamax booth showcased 'Azur Lane' Prinz Eugen and Kansas figures, plus 'Brown Dust II' Frozen Queen Wilhelmina. At the Koi Koi booth, painted samples based on illustrations by Kekemotsu and Michihasu appeared, alongside a prototype of 'To LOVE-Ru' Lala Satalin Deviluke in a swimsuit. Original character figures by DISH, including 'Shibuna Pharaoh' and a tentative 'D-chan', also drew attention. The event featured a mix of licensed properties and original creations from various studios and illustrators.
The idle fishing game Fish to Dish: Idle Sushi has received a major update for its first anniversary, adding a collaboration with Dave the Diver. Players who upgrade their sushi restaurant to level 15 can encounter Dave, who will dive for fish and return with his catch. The update also includes character skins, a yacht, and new decorations.
The TV anime adaptation of Akira Ozaki's manga "I'm Sorry for My Brothers" will premiere on July 3. Daisuke Ono and Aya Endo join the cast as the parents Isao and Saho Narita. The opening theme is "Aikotoba" by DISH//, and the ending theme "Clover" is by Reira Shio. A second promotional video featuring both songs has been released.
