The auto-programming dungeon RPG now has revamped 2D pixel art and music by Yuzo Koshiro, who handled both BGM and sound effects. Blueprints are split into combat and exploration, and dungeons use fixed maps. Exploration blueprints define a default left-hand wall rule, with players adding IF exceptions such as retreating when a party member dies.
Kakehashi Games released a demo for the dungeon-crawling RPG Algolemeth on PC via Steam on September 10. The indie developer Gangee, also known as Medium-Rare Games, built the game around visual programming: players act as an alchemist, assemble self-propelled golems, and watch them clear dungeons automatically. RainyDollGames opened the Steam store page for Meikyū Jinja on August 31, 2026, with a release planned for 2027. The game is a Japanese-style co-op horror title in which up to four players work together to escape a labyrinth that lies beyond a torii gate. The labyrinth's structure, item placement, and gimmicks change with every play, and apparitions with distinct abilities, such as sharp vision or sharp hearing, stalk the halls. Players must decide when to move quietly and when to run. The game is a spiritual sequel to Meikyū Kōsha, the developer's co-op horror title that sold 150,000 copies. At the shrine hub, players buy tools and omamori charms that grant passive abilities. In-game voice chat attenuates sound by distance and obstacles, so separated players lose each other's voices. Difficulty spans four levels from Easy to Oni. The game supports 1 to 4 players online, including public lobbies.
Comikey announced on August 17 it will release several shojo manga from Hakusensha's catalogue in English digitally. The first title is sora's Crashout Schoolgirl and Degen Teacher, with seven chapters available now. Comikey said the lineup will include manga without prior official English releases. Other titles pictured include Gakuen Babysitters, Kare Kano, and Moon Child.

At Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026, OddBallGames presented Worn By The Forgotten, a 3D puzzle adventure where the heroine Worn switches between herself and four divine beasts summoned from a mask. The demo build featured only the owl, which lifts heavy objects. The full game unlocks the cow, deer, and snake across four chapters, with chapter 1 planned for early October.

Shochiku announced that the visual novel Algorithm Prescription will hold a special stage on November 7, the opening day of Animate Girls Festival 2026. Sentinel has opened pre-orders for the RIOBOT Soulgain ~Super Robot Wars A Color Ver.~, a reissue of the 2025 action figure in the color scheme from its debut title Super Robot Wars A. The figure stands approximately 250mm tall and uses die-cast, POM, and ABS materials. Its subdued metallic blue main color and fine silver paint are intended to convey weight and luxury. The internal die-cast frame provides stability and heft. The shoulder horns can be extended or retracted via part swapping, and an included support rod allows display of the Genmu Konga firing pose. Light-up wrist parts with built-in LED illumination reproduce the limit break state. Clear molded lens parts across the body react to black light, and red lens parts for the abdomen are included. TV Asahi announced six new English dub cast members for the Akane-banashi anime during its Anime Expo panel. The dub cast includes Kari Wahlgren, Greg Chun, Ben Diskin, SungWon Cho, Crispin Freeman, and Keith Silverstein. The anime will return for a second season in January 2027.
HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail version 4.4, titled "The Whistle Roars Amidst the Return to Silence," will release on July 15, 2026, for PC, iOS, Android, and PS5. The update adds a new story arc where the Trailblazer searches for Himeko and confronts the Emanator of Destruction "Return to Silence." A limited 5-star version of Himeko called "Himeko: Departure" (Fire, Erudition) will appear in the event warp. The second collaboration with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] begins July 24, introducing limited 5-star characters Rin Tohsaka (Quantum, Erudition) and Gilgamesh (Lightning, Destruction). Rin Tohsaka's kit includes the Jeweled Sword Zelretch and a bow attack referencing Ishtar, plus a coordinated attack with Archer. Gilgamesh uses Gate of Babylon, Chains of Heaven, and Enuma Elish, with a coordinated attack featuring Saber. Players who log in between July 24 and the end of version 4.6 can choose one free 5-star character: Gilgamesh or Archer from the first collaboration. Version 4.4 also adds a Sparkle costume, a new pet, and expands the Money Wars: Zero-Sum Game mode.
KADOKAWA will release the 21st and final volume of A Certain Scientific Railgun on October 27, 2026. Pre-orders for a special edition with a drama CD and booklet, as well as a version bundled with a diorama set, began June 26.
The manga adaptation of Machibari's light novel series The Banished Saint's Pilgrimage: From Dying to Thriving by Komugi Awaya is listed to end with its third compiled volume, shipping August 10. The manga launched in September 2023 and its second volume released in February 2025. The original light novel series ended in February 2025.
