Fender And Pokemon Center Announce Red And Green Anniversary Guitars
Fender Music announced two Made in Japan electric guitars on October 30 in collaboration with Pokemon Center to mark Pokemon's 30th anniversary. The Red Version is a Stratocaster and the Green Version is a Telecaster, both priced at 396,000 yen including tax. Each carries pixel-art graphics drawn from Pokemon Red and Green, the 1996 Game Boy titles, and its own single-coil pickup developed for that model. Both guitars include an 8-Bit Sound System that adds 8-bit tone to the normal guitar sound when the Volume knob is pressed. A pick tin with 11 picks, 10 with pixel-art Pokemon and one with the 30th anniversary logo, ships with each guitar, along with an original hard case and a certificate of authenticity. Lottery applications run on Pokemon Center Online from 12:00 on November 19 to 16:59 on November 24, 2026.
