The anime adaptation of Biyori Harunohi and Yu Hitaki's light novel series The Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival revealed an English-subtitled teaser video and visual on Tuesday. The teaser names Fuka Izumi as protagonist Alicia and confirms a July 2027 television premiere. Noriyoshi Sasaki directs at Studio Clutch and Seven. Toko Machida handles series scripts, Hiroyuki Miseki designs characters, and Kohta Yamamoto, Shun Narita, and Yuki Furuhashi compose the music. J-Novel Club publishes the light novels and the manga adaptation by Kobato Wakasa in English. The 11th novel volume shipped in Japan on June 15, and the manga's ninth compiled volume is set for October 15. J-Novel Club released the sixth novel volume on March 13 and the seventh manga volume on August 12. The story follows Alicia, an orphan who gains knowledge from a crystal and rejects her fate as an otome game heroine.
Viz Media announced on Thursday that it is publishing Nao Iwamoto's The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom manga in English. The company uploaded the first two chapters digitally the same day. The fantasy romance centers on seven brothers who are knights of the Marronnier Kingdom. The kingdom sits at the center of eight kingdoms, and each brother is dispatched to a different one as an ambassador on a quest to find his fated partner. The manga launched in Shogakukan's Flowers magazine in 2016, and Shogakukan shipped the 11th compiled volume on June 10. It topped the list of manga for female readers in the 2018 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook. A television anime adaptation debuted on October 3 on the NHK Educational channel at 6:25 p.m. JST, and Amazon Prime Video added the series on the same day with English subtitles and an English dub.
Seven Knights Re:BIRTH has started a collaboration event with the anime Demon Slayer. Tanjiro Kamado is the first-day login reward, and Tanjiro and Zenitsu Agatsuma appear in the Part 1 pickup summon. Nezuko Kamado appears as a legendary pet. System Service's prize figure brand One-Seventh Carat is releasing a Roxy Bunny Polarized Color Ver. figure based on Mushoku Tensei II: Jobless Reincarnation. The figure is scheduled to appear sequentially from the third week of September 2026 as a prize item at amusement facilities, and distribution ends once supplies run out. The brand focuses on volume and figures that can be displayed without a base.
Ice Goat Games has released the PC version of Draco and the Seven Scales, a Game Boy-style action adventure. The debut title from the Seattle studio began as a project by lead developer Sam Long and was finished by a four-person team after more than five years. It has seven top-down dungeons, land and sea traversal modes, and more than 15 items. Steam wishlists passed 10,000 before launch.
A playtest of Shangri-La Frontier: Seven Strongest Species, the switch-battle RPG developed by Netmarble, finds it is not a kusoge, the term for bad games the series is built around. The game, announced in July 2022 and in development for PC, iOS, and Android, recreates the original world with original side-story scenarios. Parties of four field two active fighters and two on standby in the playtest version.
Netmarble held a stage presentation for Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Strongest Species at Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 17, covering the free-to-play switch-battle RPG for iOS, Android, and PC. The event introduced the game's four stated pillars: it is the first game adaptation of Katarina's novel Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to Su, it faithfully recreates the source material, it uses strategic battles, and it centers on the Seven Strongest Species. An original PV produced by C2C, the studio behind the TV anime, was unveiled. Cosplayer Enako took the stage as a special guest and played Story Mode, defeating the Gluttonous Great Serpent. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin received its v2.1 update on September 17. It adds Karra, a Ravens bandit who uses the magic Replication and arrives as an SSR character with three weapon types: dual swords, three-section staff, and gauntlets. The update also expands the Transcendence difficulty of the Corrosion Ancient Dragon boss challenge, and runs the Survey Pickup featuring Merlin, Elizabeth, and Diane through October 8.
Seven Knights Re:BIRTH is running a Demon Slayer collaboration for four weeks, from Thursday, October 1 to Thursday, October 29. Amazon lists the 12th compiled volume of Kaeruno Erefante's Manga Diary of a Male Porn Star as the final volume. The volume ships October 8. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga under its Ghost Ship imprint. The series launched in Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website in January 2020, and the 11th volume arrived in December 2025.

Manga Up! Global added two Square Enix manga to its English catalog this week. Fumi Ito's Escape from the Seventh Night, a supernatural mystery based on Takuma Sakai's light novel, arrived Monday. Ume Koshida's Daughter of the Dragon God arrived Tuesday. Escape from the Seventh Night ran on Gangan Online from October 2023 to 2025. Daughter of the Dragon God has run in Shonen Gangan since December 2023, and Square Enix Manga & Books will release it in print starting March 2027.

Smilegate announced on August 24 that the mobile RPG Epic Seven will launch on Steam within the year, with the store page already open since August 22. The announcement came through an 8th anniversary showcase video titled "Infinity (INFINITY)" released on the official YouTube channel on August 22, featuring producer Tak Gwang-Jin and development director Heo Dae-Gyun. The Steam version will support account linking via STOVE, gamepad controls, and a new server for first-time players, with matchmaking for World Arena and guild battles kept separate for a period before integration. The 8th anniversary updates include a new side story "Paradise Lost" starting August 27, new heroes Lizette and Politis, Unknown Pioneer, an offline auto-repeat feature, and a collaboration with Smilegate's other title Chaos Zero Nightmare, which adds heroes and new PvE content "Dimension Exploration" plus PvP content "Call of Chaos." The slate includes The Berserker NPC Unknowingly Destroys the World, Influencer Hero: After Saving Another World, I Got Rich Streaming Dungeons!, Wandmaker of the Ruined World, The Kaiju Autopsy, The Moon Cries at the Final Wish, My House Cat Became the World's Strongest?!, and It's a Secret, Shirotae-sama. Each series will debut in English print between February and May 2027, with volume 1 priced at $13.99 USD / $18.99 CAD. Several titles are manga adaptations of existing light novels, including Wandmaker of the Ruined World, which is based on a novel by Hagane Kurodome with art by Nori Kazato and Kayahara. Nasu Highland Park will introduce a ride-type VR attraction 'Ultra Seven THE ATTRACTION: The Fastest Operation in History' starting July 18. Co-developed by Tsuburaya Productions and Dynamo Amusement, it is the first hands-on VR experience for the tokusatsu hero. Guests board the Ultra Hawk 1 to save Ultra Seven from King Joe. The attraction costs 800 yen and requires a height of 100 cm or taller.
AHAVERSE announced a major expansion of the Scissor Seven franchise during its New World Premiere showcase at BilibiliWorld 2026. The slate includes a theatrical film, a spin-off animated series, an original mobile game, a publishing imprint, and a live music event. The spin-off series HEIBAI is set 25 years before the main story and follows new protagonists Mo Lang and Bai Qi. It is scheduled for a Q1 2027 release in China, with international plans to be announced later. The mobile game, an action-adventure title with original stories, targets a Q4 2026 launch in China. The film, Scissor Seven: The Movie, is in production and aims for a 2028 global release. AHAVERSE also launched AHABOOKS, a publishing initiative whose first project is the Cheap-Life Hua spin-off manhua, releasing in Q1 2027. The Chicken Island Party will be an annual live music event. The first episode follows Arnold, the seventh prince who secretly operates as an elite adventurer named Silver while backing his twin brother Leonard's claim to the throne. Fiok Lee's fantasy romantic comedy manga Seven Sleeping Beauties (Shichinin no Nemuri-hime) is receiving a television anime adaptation scheduled for a 2027 debut. The announcement was made on July 7, 2026, via a new website that also released an ultra teaser visual and a commemorative illustration by Lee. The anime will be produced by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ SMASH, with Mankyu directing. Keiichiro Ochi is handling series composition and scripts, and Masaru Koseki is designing the characters. The main cast features seven voice actresses portraying the sleeping princesses: Aya Yamane as Flora, Yoshino Aoyama as Kiara, Miku Itō as Claire, Ayasa Itō as Mia, Kana Ichinose as Charlotte, Fūka Izumi as Yūka, and Rina Kawaguchi as Eliza. The story follows Alec, the third prince of the Kingdom of Rudbeckia, who travels to the small kingdom of Amaryllis after a witch's curse puts its people to sleep. He must awaken the seven princesses with a kiss, but when they all wake up, the rest of the kingdom remains asleep, forcing the prince and princesses to live together while searching for a way to break the curse. The manga began serialization in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine in March 2023, and its 12th compiled volume is set for release on July 16, 2026.

SAND B, the anime and IP arm of TBS Holdings, acquired 51% of Xenotoon, the studio led by "Make a Girl" creator Yasuda Gensho. The group is also considering merging Xenotoon with existing subsidiary Seven Arcs by the end of fiscal 2027 to build a unified IP creation engine.
Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings' anime planning and development company Sand B has acquired a 51% controlling stake in 3D CG anime studio Xenotoon, making it a subsidiary. The acquisition was announced alongside a visual drawn by director Gensho Yasuda. TBS and Sand B plan to merge Xenotoon with TBS' existing anime studio Seven Arcs sometime in mid-2027. Xenotoon was founded in December 2019 and is led by CEO and producer Koichi Kawase. The studio is best known for its work with Yasuda, who directed the full-length animated film Make a Girl, which debuted in January 2025. Xenotoon and Yasuda also produced the Moana to Densetsu no Umi 2 3D short anime. In July 2025, Xenotoon, Web3 anime brand Azuki, and Comisma announced a new U.S.-based joint anime studio named Studio Azuki. TBS acquired Seven Arcs in December 2017; Seven Arcs is known for the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise and is currently producing the latest entry, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance, premiering July 4. TBS established Sand B in May 2025 with a 30 billion yen investment to plan, develop, and produce animation, aiming for global expansion.
Seven Seas Entertainment announced six new licenses on Wednesday. The slate includes four manga and two light novels, all scheduled for release between January and April 2027. The manga titles are Pendulum: The Beastmen Omegaverse Saga by Hana Hasumi, Good Night, My Little Bird by RICO SAKURA, The Cat Who Didn't Believe in 'What-ifs' by Oki Eiko, and The Tomorrow I Want to See with Kako: A Time-Loop Romantic Comedy by KNOTS. The light novels are Goetia Shock by Dokuzu Kento with art by Nekosuke Ookuma, and Wandmaker of the Ruined World by Hagane Kurodome with art by Kayahara. Pendulum and Good Night, My Little Bird will appear under the publisher's mature-rated BL label. Pendulum is a companion story to Remnant: The Beastmen Omegaverse Saga, already available from Seven Seas. The Cat Who Didn't Believe in 'What-ifs' began as a popular webcomic and will receive its first English print edition. Goetia Shock will be a digital-only release on the Airship imprint. The Tomorrow I Want to See with Kako carries a release date of January 2027 in the press release and March 2027 on social media. Pricing for the print volumes ranges from $15.99 to $16.99 in the United States.
