Eclipse Glow Games unveiled a new trailer for the single-player action-adventure Tides of Annihilation during gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, held in Cologne, Germany. The footage introduces Guinevere, the Arthurian wife of King Arthur, who appears before protagonist Gwendolyn in a ruined London and entrusts her with a sword, explaining that Gwendolyn can control the mist's power and summon knights as Arthur once did. Lancelot also debuts in the trailer, shown being summoned to the battlefield and overwhelming enemies. The game is set in a London destroyed by an invasion from another world, where Gwendolyn summons more than 10 legendary knights to fight alongside her in combat, obstacle traversal, and puzzle solving. Angela Sant'Albano was confirmed as the new English voice actor for Gwendolyn, and she provided a statement expressing her excitement about the role. The game supports text in 11 languages at launch, including newly confirmed Brazilian Portuguese. A public playable demo, the first in Europe, will be available at gamescom 2026 at Hall 6, Booth B-050, running on PCs with GeForce RTX 5080 and TCL displays.

Players evade a cult and grotesque non-human monsters, scavenging food and ammunition while climbing sheer cliffs and exploring dim caves. The new footage shows a battle against a giant spider with a shovel, various creatures, and a suspicious old woman. 'Ritual Tides' is in development for PC via Steam.

Shueisha Games announced CONQUISTA: Tide of Wills at gamescom 2026, a new colony sim combined with 4X strategy elements, during the awesome indies show on August 27. The game is being developed by Micro Simulation, a small studio that started from individual development and is based in Akihabara. Its core concept is "a nation is a collective of people," with the goal of letting players manage both the micro-level lives of individual residents and the macro-level diplomacy, trade, and warfare of a nation. The game features a procedurally generated fantasy world where residents act autonomously, expressing desires and goals through a system called "Passion." Residents can send letters requesting support, and if ignored, they may declare independence or even start wars. Resources are managed through two layers: the national treasury and the market, with prices fluctuating based on supply and distribution speed. The game is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in summer 2027, with a playable demo available at the Shueisha Games booth at gamescom. A playtest matching the gamescom build is planned, with participants selected by lottery from the official Discord server.

Studio Reset, a new studio founded by former BioWare developers, announced its first game, The Eventide, on July 30, 2026. The game is a paranormal detective mystery adventure set in a neon-lit Canadian city where supernatural events are common. Players run an investigation office and dispatch agents to investigate cases. Each case begins with a choice between two agents, each of whom perceives the world differently, leading to different discoveries about the same event. Agents have unique abilities, from basic investigative skills to supernatural ones like psychic intuition, and they investigate locations such as rain-soaked alleys, dusty libraries, and ruined radio stations. All clues found are added to a shared investigation notebook, allowing players to piece together a fuller picture of each case that neither agent could assemble alone. Once evidence is gathered, players connect it to uncover the truth and fill in the blanks of case reports. Solved cases open new clues, locations, and mysteries. The game is planned for PC via Steam, where wishlist registration is now available. Studio Reset was established by veterans of Mass Effect and Dragon Age, aiming to create smaller, more focused original games.

When Tides Turn, a new studio founded by former Burnout series lead Fiona Sperry, announced Wreckreation 2 on July 21. The open-world racing game is in development for PC via Steam, with no release date set. The sequel takes place in Heartbreak City, an open world featuring urban streets, highways, airport runways, and shipyards, with hidden shortcuts. Gameplay focuses on high-contact racing where players ram rival cars to cause takedowns, reminiscent of the Burnout series. Modes include standard races, Marked Man (hunting rivals), Pursuits (escaping pursuit), Eliminators (last car standing), and Road Rage (takedown count competition). The Live Mix feature from the first game returns, letting players place objects on the map to create custom courses. Online multiplayer is planned. The previous game, Wreckreation (2025), was developed by Three Fields Entertainment, which laid off all staff due to financial issues. When Tides Turn comprises the same team members, now operating under a new studio name.
