CriticalStage Online TRPG Tool Launches December 1 for Free in Web Browsers

CriticalStage Management will release the official version of its online TRPG session tool CriticalStage on December 1, 2026. It runs free and with no installation on PC and smartphone web browsers. The tool supports BCDice dice rolls, saved chat commands, one-click switching between 2D and 3D boards, effect-driven visuals, animated portraits, and emote features. It links with the companion CharacterStage app, which supports five TRPG systems.
The board can switch between 2D and 3D with one click, and effects can be attached to tokens and character portraits. Text panels and note panels let a group place documents from its session notes directly on the board, and enemy status appears in bar form.
CharacterStage covers Dungeons & Dragons 5e/5.5e, Call of Cthulhu TRPG and New Call of Cthulhu TRPG, Shinobigami, and the beta versions of Pathfinder RPG and Tenka Ryouran. Sheet contents can be output to pieces, ability scores, and the chat palette in CriticalStage.
- Dungeons & Dragons 5e/5.5e
- Call of Cthulhu TRPG/New Call of Cthulhu TRPG
- Shinobigami
- Pathfinder RPG: beta version
