Desktop Island: Idle Together! Announced for PC in December

BiteMe Games announced Desktop Island: Idle Together!, a desktop idle slow-life sim for PC via Steam, launching in December. It supports solo and up to five-player online co-op without a host, syncing shared island changes automatically. A playtest is live now through August 16.

BiteMe Games, the Belgian indie studio behind MMO98 and Kyoto Anomaly, revealed Desktop Island: Idle Together! on August 7. The game is a desktop-resident slow-life sim where players rebuild an island by gathering resources and upgrading facilities.

It can run fullscreen or as a thin bar at the bottom of the screen, a floating window, or notifications only, letting players progress while doing other PC work. Online co-op supports up to five players with no dedicated host; changes sync automatically to the shared island, so members can drop in whenever they want.

The island offers more than 10 skills including logging, fishing, animal care, and farming, plus combat and crafting. Residents live on the island for trading and relationship building. A playtest is available now until August 16 at 23:59 local time.
