In the episode, Rudeus and his party shake off the pursuit of Atoferatofe and obtain Sokasu grass, said to be effective against Drain Disease, in the hope of curing Nanahoshi's illness. On the night Rudeus returns home after a long absence, Hitogami appears and offers advice. When Rudeus moves to follow that advice, a mysterious figure appears. The released cuts show Rudeus hugging Sylphie and Perugius gazing at a Ruijerd doll. The series is based on Rifujin na Magonote's novel, serialized on Shosetsuka ni Naro since 2012 with a cumulative circulation of 18 million copies. Studio Bind handles animation, with Shibuya Ryosuke directing.

Kotobukiya is making a 1/8 scale figure of Renne Bright in her outfit from The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II -CRIMSON SiN-. She is 17, the student council president of Aramis High School, and the figure shows her holding a large scythe. It releases April 2027 for 25,300 yen. The Kotobukiya Shop version includes an expression replacement part. The prototype is by Salle cato.

Mashiro Shiki's Shino Mikuro Nurse Ver. Figure Opens Pre-Orders at AmiAmi

PURE is releasing a 1/6 scale figure of Shino Mikuro Nurse Ver., an original character by illustrator Mashiro Shiki. Pre-orders are open at AmiAmi. The figure stands about 290mm tall including the base and comes with a fluffy base and an IV drip stand set. It is scheduled for September 2027 at a reference price of 34,320 yen, with AmiAmi selling it for 30,880 yen.

Shibuya Scramble Stories Crowdfunding Tops 100 Million Yen

Game designer Jiro Ishii announced on September 2 that Shibuya Scramble Stories, his live-action ensemble ADV set in Shibuya, has passed 100 million yen in cumulative crowdfunding support. The total combines the ubugoe campaign with the first and second CAMPFIRE rounds, with the second campaign's 1,607,217 yen pushing it over the mark. That campaign runs through September 30.

Busan Adds Anime Spotlight Strand With Rintaro, Angel's Egg, Metropolis

The Busan International Film Festival has added a curated anime strand to its 31st edition. Titled Japanese Animation Special: Masterpieces of Madness, Exhilarating Prospects 12+1, the program pairs 12 anime films with one European classic, Paul Grimault's The King and the Mockingbird. The selection spans Taiji Yabushita's The White Snake Enchantress, Osamu Tezuka's Phoenix 2772, Mamoru Oshii's Angel's Egg, Rintaro's Metropolis, and new works from Shingo Natsume and Ryo Katanosaka. Rintaro, now working on a new Galaxy Express 999 feature, will appear at the festival.

DJI announced the Osmo 360 II, a 360-degree camera that records full-sphere 8K video at 60fps. It launches immediately at 93,610 yen for the standard combo and 110,990 yen for the adventure combo. Compared with the Osmo 360, full-sphere video rises from 8K50P to 8K60P, dynamic range from 13.5 to 14.5 stops, and timelapse from 8K30P to 16K30P. The body keeps the same size and weight.

Milki Delivery: Milki's Milk Shop Launches November 17, 2026

Publisher Wholesome Games announced on September 2 that the milk delivery adventure game Milki Delivery: Milki's Milk Shop will launch on November 17, 2026, for PC via Steam. In Japan, the release falls on November 18 due to the time difference. The game is developed by Doot Tiny Games, the studio of Dorian Signargout, in collaboration with artist Doriane Randria, known together for the Japanese shopping street simulation Welcome to Minami Street. The player controls Neha, a girl who moves to a rural ranch with her cow partner Milki. She delivers milk by bicycle to residents, manages stamina and time, and gathers resources to upgrade her bike and barn. The setting is a peaceful countryside once called a paradise for cows, where the cows have since disappeared. The game is a short adventure lasting two to four hours. A demo has been available on Steam since June and has received a Very Positive rating. The developers' previous works, including Welcome to Minami Street and the insect collecting game Kabuto Park, hold an Overwhelmingly Positive status on Steam.

Nintendo Adds Ikari, Dragon Buster, Ninja Gaiden III to Famicom Classics

Nintendo added three Famicom titles to its Nintendo Classics service on September 2: Ikari, Dragon Buster, and Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom. All three are available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers at no additional cost and run on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Ikari is the 1986 SNK action shooter in which players control Ralph and Clark as they infiltrate an enemy base, with limited ammunition that must be replenished from drops. Dragon Buster, released by Namco in 1987, is a side-view action adventure starring swordsman Clovis on a quest to rescue Princess Celia from a dragon. Ninja Gaiden III, Tecmo's 1991 side-scrolling action game, follows Ryu Hayabusa after he is framed for the murder of Irene Lew. The addition completes the Ninja Gaiden trilogy on the service, since the first two games were already available. The lineup drew strong reaction on X, where Dragon Buster trended and players welcomed the return of the three titles.

Yutaka Matsushige plans, produces, writes, and directs the drama "The Way to Make Delicious Food," which streams on Prime Video starting October 3 at midnight. G-FRAME FA Destiny Gundam and SpecII Second Pre-Orders Open

Bandai's candy toy line G-FRAME FA is taking second pre-orders for two versions of the Destiny Gundam. The standard Destiny Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY and the Destiny Gundam SpecII in its final battle image color from the film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM both open for reservation on Premium Bandai on September 2, 2026 at 13:00, with shipping scheduled for April 2027. Each half-assembled articulated figure stands about 110mm tall and comes with a soda-flavored gum. The standard Destiny Gundam includes the Arondight beam sword, high-energy long-range beam cannon, beam boomerang, beam shield, high-energy beam rifle, Palma Fiocina beam cannon effect parts, and a large Wings of Light effect set, plus a display base printed with the name SHIN ASUKA. The SpecII version reproduces the red metallic joints from maximum output and adds the trial Type 35 Kai railgun alongside the shared weapons and Wings of Light. Both are priced at 6,545 yen including tax and are limited to Premium Bandai.
