The October issue of Ichijinsha's Comic Zero Sum magazine announced that honomi's manga adaptation of Hana Yakou's Blaze of Flesh and Blood light novel series will end in the November issue, shipping on September 28. Kodansha USA will publish the manga in English starting January 2027.

Phoenixx released the early access version of Lazy Witch's Factory, a roguelite factory builder developed by Meltclock, on Steam on August 21, 2026. Players control Momoko, a lazy witch who is tricked by a demon into accumulating a massive debt and must repay it by automating a factory with the help of cute familiars. Mining goblins gather resources, blacksmith salamanders craft items, and players fulfill orders to earn funds. To succeed within the 30-minute time limit, players must make contracts with demons to gain skills and buffs, some of which are risky, such as forcing employees to work or counterfeiting money. The game also reached 269% of its crowdfunding goal, which unlocked a new high-difficulty mode featuring disaster response missions and taxation by Archduke Gehenna. A campaign on X gives away autographed color papers by Misato Fukuen, who voices Momoko, to three winners until September 4.
Bandai is releasing a gashapon capsule line of miniature Kenshi Yonezu CD charms. The collection includes 11 total designs, one of them secret, featuring the Chainsaw Man Reze Arc film theme "IRIS OUT," the Hikaru Utada collaboration "JANE DOE," "Lemon," and the album "LOST CORNER." The game follows Momoko, a lazy witch voiced by Misato Fukuen, who is tricked by a demon into taking on a huge debt. Players build automated factories in hell using familiars such as mining goblins and blacksmith salamanders to produce goods and repay the debt within a 30-minute time limit. Roguelite elements mean each run offers different circumstances and random enhancement options. Players can also contract with sponsor company demons to gain skills and buffs, including dark options like forced labor or counterfeiting money. A crowdfunding campaign on CAMPFIRE in May 2026 raised 2,695,558 yen, exceeding the 1,000,000 yen target by 269%. Anime Anime has released the preview for episode 3 of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance. The episode, titled 'Shina Hisse and Towa Yomi,' airs July 18 and shows Shina, now an EXCEEDS exterminator, saving a girl from jumping off a bridge. The series is a new original TV anime from Masaki Tsuzuki, set in a post-apocalyptic world fighting alien species. The cast includes new and returning voice actors.
Astrolabe Games and 91Act announced on July 16 that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of BLAZBLUE ENTROPY EFFECT X will be released on August 13, 2026, priced at 2,970 yen. The Switch 2 version improves graphics resolution and frame rate, running at up to 1440p/60fps in TV mode and up to 1080p/60fps in handheld mode, with reduced load times and support for local wireless multiplayer. Existing Nintendo Switch owners can upgrade via a 320 yen pass. Arc System Works announced at EVO 2026 on June 28 that Trinity Glassfille will join BlazBlue: CentralFiction as a new playable DLC character. The character is the first addition to the game since Jubei debuted in 2017, marking a nine-year gap. Trinity Glassfille, known as the Platinum Alchemist and one of the Six Heroes from the series' lore, was revealed with a new illustration by series creator Toshimichi Mori. Acer announced the Nitro Blaze Link, a portable device specialized for remote play of PC games via Wi-Fi, on May 31. It streams gameplay from a host gaming PC, similar to the PlayStation Portal. The July issue of Kadokawa's Comic Alive magazine revealed that Yu Shimizu's Howling Blaze light novel series is getting a manga adaptation by artist koko. The manga will launch in the magazine's next issue on June 26. The fantasy story follows Witch Hunter Kaori Tsukimiya on the island of Karyujima, where she meets the White Flower Witch Fiona.
