DAY2 hosts the finale of the Gundam GWX 30th Anniversary Project, with Tomokazu Seki, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Wataru Takagi on stage. The Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO stage is also planned. A giant Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam balloon will appear in the venue.

Kadokawa released the first teaser trailer for The Fake Alchemist television anime on September 25, 2026. The teaser confirms Yōhei Matsuoka as Paracelsus and Miyari Nemoto as Nora. Takeo Takahashi is chief director and Hijiri Sanpei directs. Kenta Ihara handles series composition, Yuka Takashina designs characters, and Luke Standridge composes the music. Passione animates. The story adapts the manga by writer Jiro Sugiura and artist Umemaru, which launched on Kadokawa's KadoComi site in June 2023 and is ongoing. Kadokawa published the fifth compiled volume on February 20. Yen Press publishes the English edition in print. The teaser centers on the first meeting between Paracelsus and Nora in the city-state of Orichalconia, a place where alchemy and magic are part of daily life. An earlier announcement came in June 2026. No premiere date or streaming acquisition has been announced.

Walt Disney Japan will release a 4K UHD and Blu-ray set of Hayao Miyazaki's Kiki's Delivery Service on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. The set is a two-disc package, one 4K UHD disc and one Blu-ray made from the same new master, priced at 11,880 yen including tax. The film was remastered in 4K and played in IMAX theaters in North America in March 2026 and in Japan from June. The release is the third Studio Ghibli feature to get a 4K UHD edition, after The Boy and the Heron and Princess Mononoke. The set comes in a three-sided slipcase with digipak packaging. Enclosed bonuses include three original art cards, and the Blu-ray carries a trailer collection of about three minutes covering the 4K digital remaster IMAX release and the expanded release. The feature runs about 102 minutes and dates to 1989. Subtitles include Japanese, English, and barrier-free Japanese.

At the 2026 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tamiya displayed the 1/48 Grumman F-14B Tomcat Tractor Tow Set and the 1/14 40-Foot Aluminum Van Semi-Trailer, both announced at the venue. The new Click Lock 1/24 Car Model Series opens with Volkswagen Type 2 and Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 kits.

DOVA-SYNDROME, the Japanese free background music service, changed its name to OpenTracks on September 15, following a March transition by management company TRACKS Inc. Representative director Yuichi Miyagawa says the catalog holds more than 19,000 BGM tracks and around 1,200 sound effects from roughly 250 composers. Agencies Glitch Stars, V4Mirai and Aegis-Link have announced partnerships, and Miyagawa describes the service as free to use and safe on YouTube.

Mugendai Myu-Type played DAY2 of the BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita free live "Shinjuku Landing Plan" at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO) on Friday, September 25, 2026, performing all 11 songs including 3 anime songs. "in my words" was performed live for the first time. DAY1 was canceled because of severe weather. The set was also streamed free on YouTube.

The in-game song "True Story -Revival-" from "Persona 4 Revival" is streaming early on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other services. Rise Kujikawa, voiced by Rie Kugimiya, sings it, with composition by Shoji Meguro and lyrics by ATLUS. A lyric video is on the Atlus Game Music YouTube channel, directed by Hideaki Tsutsumi. "Persona 4 Revival" is confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 on May 20, 2027.

The Blue Lock original manga version SPECIAL MV has been released on the Magazine Channel. It layers original manga illustrations over Ado's "Monstro," the theme song for the live-action film, and carries a freshly recorded voice performance by Fumiya Takahashi, who plays protagonist Yoichi Isagi. Giga and TeddyLoid composed and arranged the song, supercell's ryo wrote the lyrics, and Ado sang vocals. The live-action film passed 1.2 billion yen in box office revenue on September 6.

Atlus released the lyric video for "True Story -Revival-" on September 19, with the track also available on streaming services. The song is a rearrangement of the insert song "True Story" from the Persona 4 animation, sung by Rise Kujikawa, voiced by Rie Kugimiya. Previous lyric videos covered "Prime Time Golden Hour Show" and "Reach Out To The Truth -Revival-." Persona 4 Revival launches February 18, 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, Windows, Game Pass, PS5, and PC via Steam, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version on May 20, 2027.
