REJECT announced "Oji League vs Streamer Army," a Street Fighter 6 showdown between Oji League participants and popular streamers, for Saturday, October 24. Koku-nii and SHAKA traded trash talk in a video released with the announcement, trading lines like "Bring it on, kid" and "Fine by me, old man." Silhouettes believed to be participants appear alongside epithets in the video's latter half, including "Teisei," "Goketsu," and SHAKA's "Legendary Battlefield King Sniper." Format and rules are not yet clear.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 ran from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, with the September 21 session canceled as a typhoon approached. Business days were September 17 and 18, public days September 19 and 20. More than 250,000 visitors attended across the four days, and 1,138 companies and organizations from 53 countries and regions exhibited. A photo roundup collects eight cosplayers, among them Ann Takamaki from Persona 5, Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII, Aigis from Persona 3, and Yasmine from Street Fighter 6.

CAPCOM will run an original four-part Star Detective Precure! story in Street Fighter 6's Battlehub starting December 17. The Precure team investigates a destroyed arcade machine in part one, and Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly appear in the anime's art style. The collaboration adds avatar items and illustration fliers at tie-in events, CAPCOM stores, and Precure Pretty Store locations across Japan. No international release has been announced.

Eurogear will open orders on Friday, October 2, 2026 for four collaboration helmets between Italian motorcycle helmet brand AGV and Capcom's fighting game Street Fighter 6. The collection is sold only in Japan, and each of the four fighters gets a dedicated graphic across the full shell of the helmet. The four designs are Juri, Cammy, Gouki, and Ken. The base model is AGV's best-selling K1 S, and the fighter's color theme and personality drive the artwork. Each helmet costs 47,300 yen including tax. Sales run from October 2, 2026 on the AGV Japan official website, at Dainese stores nationwide, and at motorcycle supply retailers nationwide. Details are on the official website. The same four names appear in both the graphic lineup and the character list, so the pairings are fixed: one helmet per fighter, no variant colorways beyond the four.

Capcom announced on September 20, 2026 that the fighting game Street Fighter 6 and the anime Detective Pretty Cure are crossing over. The reveal came at the Capcom Stage Live <DAY-2> event at Tokyo Game Show 2026. A four-episode original collaboration story is scheduled to be distributed starting December 17. In the story, an incident occurs in which arcade cabinets in the Battle Hub are broken and their screens go completely black, and Cure Answer and the others investigate the truth behind it. A key visual and part of the story were shown at the stage event. Game screens also showed Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly from Street Fighter 6 drawn in a Precure-style touch. Capcom said further details will be announced in the future. The game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

At Capcom's Tokyo Game Show 2026 stage live on September 20, the company revealed gameplay footage of Alex, the second Year 4 character in Street Fighter 6. Alex releases on October 13 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The footage shows a move set built around accumulating Recoverable Damage, plus taunt and victory poses.

Respawn and Capcom's Apex Legends will run a large-scale collaboration event with Street Fighter 6 starting September 23, 2026. The event adds a limited-time mode called Apex K.O. in which players build a six-segment Fight Gauge by collecting Fighter Tokens dropped on the field or by punching red Punch Trucks scattered across a street-style remix of the Olympus map. At one segment or more, the camera shifts to third person and the player becomes a Fighter Form version of Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, or Dhalsim. Gunfire and abilities are locked out, but melee damage rises, incoming damage drops, movement speed and mobility increase, and a guard option opens up. The update also ships eight Iconic skins pairing Apex characters with Street Fighter fighters, and the Mythic universal melee item Hadoken.

Capcom held a playtest of Street Fighter 6's new character Arjun at its Tokyo Game Show 2026 booth. Arjun is an Indian yoga master and former police officer on the run after being falsely accused of killing a colleague. He is a Power, Mid-Range, Normal type with no unique gauge. His command grab, Demonic Interrogation, deals only white damage on its own but converts with follow-ups.

Kioxia exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21, marking the semiconductor maker's first booth at a gaming event. The centerpiece was hands-on play on competition PCs built with Mouse Computer's gaming brand G TUNES and fitted with the EXCERIA PRO G2 SSD, the same configuration used at the esports competition for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in 2026. Visitors played Street Fighter 6 to sample the drive's short load times under conditions close to what tournament players use. The booth also displayed consumer SSDs including the EXCERIA PRO G2, and showed color variations for the EXCERIA PLUS G2 Portable SSD as a reference exhibit ahead of launch, with shades named Sumi, Momiji, Ruri, Matcha, and Kinako. A collaboration gachapon with Mouse Computer ran at the booth, and guest talk events were scheduled for the public days.

Capcom announced C. Viper's Outfit 4 for Street Fighter 6 during its Capcom Spotlight | TGS 2026 stream on September 16. The costume launches October 13, the same day the Year 4 character Alex joins the roster. The design uses a swimsuit series look and is described as fusing the danger and elegance of a venomous snake. Outfit 4 has been a paid costume line since last year, beginning with Juri's costume, which was available for a limited time, then outfits for seven characters (Luke, Jamie, Kimberly, Manon, A.K.I., Cammy, and Chun-Li) in August, followed by Zangief, Dee Jay, and Elena. Capcom announced September 8 that Arjun, the second Year 4 character for Street Fighter 6, releases October 13. Arjun is an Indian police officer framed for the murder of his partner Karna. His kit centers on recoverable damage: gray health that recovers over time but is lost if hit before recovery. Many specials accumulate it even when blocked. His moves use yoga breathing techniques, including projectiles, rock-based attacks, a counter stance, and a command grab that converts gray health to real damage.

MSY's brand GRAPHT announced new collaboration items with Capcom's fighting game Street Fighter 6 on August 28, ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2026. The lineup expands the Monitor Mascot series with four characters: Ed, Akuma, Guile, and E. Honda, bringing the total to 13 types. The Desk Mat series adds Ingrid and Alex, and the Embroidered Sticker series adds Yasmin, who appeared in Year 4, plus three rank badges: ULTIMATE MASTER, GRAND MASTER, and HIGH MASTER. The Monitor Mascots are about 8 cm tall and priced at 2,500 yen each at the TGS venue. Desk mats cost 4,900 yen each, and embroidered stickers cost 1,300 yen each, all at TGS venue-limited prices. Thirdwave's gaming PC brand GALLERIA began accepting orders on August 25 for a line of collaboration desktop PCs themed around Capcom's Street Fighter 6. The company also announced sponsorship and equipment cooperation for Capcom's official STREET FIGHTER LEAGUE JAPAN 2026. The collaboration models feature a deformed, comical illustration of character Juri by illustrator Kangyaku, displayed on the front of the chassis and the left glass panel. An original wallpaper using the same artwork comes preinstalled. Eight models are available total, split evenly between AMD and Intel CPU configurations. All meet the recommended specifications for comfortable play of Street Fighter 6. Red Bull Japan announced all four matchups for the invitational show match Red Bull Revenge, held September 21 at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Tokido won the Street Fighter 6 tournament at CEO 2026 in Florida, defeating Booce Lee 3-2 in the grand final after resetting the bracket. It is his first Capcom Pro Tour win since 2024. Since Tokido already holds a Capcom Cup 13 spot, the winner's qualification goes to Booce Lee.

Hikaru won the second World Warrior Japan tournament and was runner-up in the first, holding top results among Japanese players in the Capcom Pro Tour World Warrior rankings. Dwango announced on July 27 that four Nijisanji VTubers will host a four-week relay live commentary for the TV anime Street Fighter USA on Nico Nico Live. The program, titled 'Nijisanji × Anime Street Fighter USA All 26 Episodes Relay Live Commentary,' runs from September 17 to October 8, 2026, every Thursday at 20:00. The participants are Hyakumantenbara Salome (episodes 1-7), Kuzuha (episodes 8-13), Iha Rai (episodes 14-19), and Saeki Ittetsu (episodes 20-26). All four are known for playing Street Fighter 6, with Kuzuha reaching Ultimate Master rank and Iha Rai at High Master. Street Fighter USA aired in the US in the 1990s and was long considered a 'phantom title' in Japan because it was never broadcast or released on home video there; it became available on streaming services in 2021. The VTubers will watch the series fresh, without prior viewing or information. The broadcast will show the anime footage alongside the VTubers' reactions on one screen. A follow-and-repost campaign on the Nico Nico VTuber official X account offers prizes. Kuzuha commented that he wants to learn character matchups by watching the anime to raise his rank.

Yasmin is a standard-type fighter with high mobility, using a karambit knife and fast walking and Drive Rush speeds. Her special moves include Daroi n Tubig, a multi-hit advancing attack, and Talim n Hangin, a rush slash with a feint variant.

MenaRD won the Street Fighter 6 division at EVO 2026, held June 26-28 in Las Vegas, defeating Japan's Shigematsu in the grand finals. Shigematsu, who came from the losers bracket, reset the bracket with a 3-1 win but lost the deciding set 3-0 in a Blanka mirror match. The victory gives MenaRD a second consecutive EVO main event title and his fourth championship across all EVO-branded tournaments, including EVO Japan. Because MenaRD had already qualified for Capcom Cup 13 by winning Blink Respawn 2026, the runner-up Shigematsu earned the Capcom Cup 13 spot. The top 8 also included Kilzyou (3rd, France), Craime (4th, Chile), Dogura (5th, Japan), Tantanmen (5th, Japan, in his first EVO top 8), CrossoverRD (7th, Dominican Republic), and Zhen (7th, China). Japanese commentary for the finals streamed on the Capcom Fighters JP YouTube channel.

Capcom's Street Fighter 6 collaboration with K-pop group aespa will end sales of the special Juri costume on July 4, 2026. The costume, Juri: Outfit 4 feat. aespa (Color 1-10), has been on sale for one year since July 4, 2025, priced at 350 Fighter Coins. As a bonus for purchasing, the entrance scene after character selection plays a K-Pop style arrangement of Juri's theme as dedicated BGM, and an effect featuring the symbols of aespa members appears at the top of the character information. The sale ends at 15:59 JST on July 4. The collaboration was part of a tie-in between Street Fighter 6 and aespa, a group under SM Entertainment. Both Inside and Game Spark reported the deadline.

A gameplay trailer released on June 18 shows the new fighter, a high school girl from the Philippines who uses the traditional martial art Eskrima. She wields a karambit knife and fights with high mobility, entering the world of street fighting to find her missing older brother. Yasmin has a special enhanced state called Bayani Mode, activated by landing certain moves, which changes the performance of some special attacks and enables more powerful combos. Her special moves include Dalo'y ng Tubig, Talim ng Hangin, and Mukha ng Langit. The trailer also shows her victory animation, where she jumps for joy and bows to her opponent. A second outfit, a school uniform, can be unlocked through gameplay or purchased. Alongside Yasmin's release, Capcom will apply the first overall battle balance adjustment of Year 4. Yasmin will be playable in a trial version at the Evo Las Vegas event from June 26 to 28. Year 4 will also add characters Arjun, Tifa from Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Bosh.

Capcom announced at Summer Game Fest 2026 on June 6 that Tifa Lockhart from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series will join Street Fighter 6 as a Year 4 guest character, alongside new original fighters Yasmin (Philippines) and Arjun (India) and the playable debut of World Tour character Bosch. Producer Shuhei Matsumoto and director Takayuki Nakayama told Denfaminicogamer and Game Spark that the Tifa collaboration had been discussed for about three years, initiated through a mutual acquaintance at Square Enix and accelerated after Nakayama co-starred with FF7R director Naoki Hamaguchi at Tokyo Game Show 2023. The Square Enix team, including creative director Tetsuya Nomura, reviewed design adjustments to ensure Tifa's martial arts moves read clearly in a versus fighting game. Tifa's implementation and the release of Final Fantasy VII Revelation are both scheduled for spring 2027. Capcom also confirmed that Street Fighter 6 has surpassed 7 million units sold worldwide.

Capcom announced the Year 4 character lineup for Street Fighter 6 during Summer Game Fest 2026 on June 6. The roster includes three new fighters and one guest character. Capcom announced a slate of events on June 2 to mark the third anniversary of Street Fighter 6, which launched on June 2, 2023. The centerpiece is an SNS Avatar Contest running through June 30, split into two categories: Avatar Create, for posting images themed around cute, cool, or funny designs, and Avatar Combo, for videos of practical or flashy combos. Winners receive exclusive in-game titles. A special V-Rival, producer Shuhei Matsumoto, has been added to the V-Rival mode, where players can fight him using any character and earn special rewards by meeting conditions. Other limited-time events include an Extreme Battle Tournament with modified rules, a Drive Ticket Rush for earning premium currency, a Challenge Master event that rewards clearing challenges with anniversary badges and titles, a SHOP Sale discounting characters up to Year 2 and Outfit 4, and a Lucky Week that increases Play Points from battle cabinets. The events run through the end of June.

The staff for the Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games anime revealed that Halca performs the ending theme song "New Game." The anime also announced a new collaboration with Street Fighter 6, including a promotional video in the Battle Hub from June 2-30 and six title cards available through July 14. The anime premieres July 7.

Capcom released Ingrid, the final character of Street Fighter 6 Year 3, on May 29, 2026. The update also adds new modes Avatar Random Match and Avatar Arcade, plus Outfit 3 for all Year 3 characters and a free DriveTech Wear outfit for all users. Ingrid's World Tour story content ends with her release.
