Initial D and Seiko have collaborated on a chronograph watch inspired by Takahashi Keisuke's RX-7 FD3S from the Akagi RedSuns. The watch features a yellow dial, black bezel, rotary engine rotor motif, and a RedSuns logo. It is limited to 1,995 pieces, priced at 65,780 yen, and on sale from August 3, 2026, at PREMICO's online shop.
Korekatis announced the launch of a 3D studio business as the second phase of its 100 million yen project supporting virtual industry creators. The Tokyo studio features 12 Vicon cameras and supports simultaneous capture of three to five people, with day sessions priced from 50,000 yen during a limited campaign. The seven-member virtual idol group FouRTe Project released its debut album ALL IN on August 5, 2026, through the new music label JOI MUSIC, operated by GENKI Inc. The title track ALL IN is described in the announcement as expressing the group's determination to carve open their destiny after having been nobodies. The official website for ghost - end of night, the new theatrical anime project from director Shingo Natsume and studio Madhouse, unveiled a teaser trailer on Friday that introduces the film's two lead cast members. Mayu Hotta plays Neekei, a 15-year-old girl who has already been selected in a society where people are judged at age 18 on whether the world needs them. Issei Takahashi voices Masu, a man burdened by the loss of his family who wanders while covering his body with tattoos before crossing paths with Neekei. The teaser includes the pair's first voiced scenes and features the insert song "Sugar" by alternative rock band hitsujibungaku, who also perform the film's theme song. The film is set in a near future where labor is no longer necessary, and follows Neekei as she seeks what is real while resisting the order of a content society. Natsume directs and writes the script, marking his first time directing an original anime film. Natsume Ono provides original character designs, Norifumi Kugai handles animation character designs, and Bandai Namco Filmworks distributes. The film opens in Japan on February 11, 2027.
HoYoverse released a male-cast version of the song Moe Chaka Fire for Zenless Zone Zero on July 25. Hugo, Komata Masato, Light, and Severian, voiced by Jun Fukuyama, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Hiroki Takahashi, and Toshiyuki Morikawa, perform the track. The song debuted at Dream Electro Fest, part of the second anniversary HoYoFair event. The video includes a dance segment with 3D models in maid outfits.
The staff for the From Overshadowed to Overpowered anime revealed three new cast members for characters appearing in the seventh episode. Shinichirō Kamio, Rina Kawaguchi, and Hiroki Takahashi join the cast. The anime premiered in Japan on June 25 and streams on Crunchyroll.

The official website for the A Wild Last Boss Appeared! television anime unveiled the second season's first promotional video on Tuesday, confirming an October premiere and introducing seven new cast members. The trailer also previews the opening theme song "Melodic Impact" by the rock band Suspended 4th. Newly announced cast include Ryōta Suzuki as Karkinos, Chiaki Takahashi as Scorpius, Takahiro Sakurai as Castor, Shinpachi Tsuji as Mizar, Momoko Seto as Mass-Produced Libra, Yūichirō Umehara as Terra, and M.A.O as Luna. The original television anime Vertex Force, directed by Strike Witches and Vividred Operation creator Kazuhiro Takamura, will premiere on October 3 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, with streaming on U-NEXT and other services in Japan. The announcement came on July 24 via the anime's official website, which also released a main promotional video, key visual, and the full main cast. Makoto Koichi voices protagonist Akira Todo, a 13-year-old middle school student living in Okinawa who feels inferior for lacking the "Engine" power his older sister Haruka inherited from their father. Kaede Hondo plays Haruka Todo, a cheerful 16-year-old high school girl who hides her power. Ami Koshimizu voices Eleanor Northbrook, an 18-year-old from the United States; Megumi Han plays Lala Zudenstein, a 16-year-old from Switzerland; and Rie Takahashi voices Yoko Nishina, a 16-year-old from Hokkaido. The story follows Akira and his family as strange events begin occurring worldwide, with unidentified enemies approaching. Takamura is directing at SMDE, with Gorō Kuji as assistant director. Kanetake Ebikawa handles engine design, and JNTHED handles ENIA design.
K, a member of the group &TEAM, made his film debut as Nagi Seishiro in the live-action Blue Lock film at its world premiere in Tokyo on July 13. During the stage greeting, K expressed gratitude to the cast and staff and asked the audience if he could now call himself an actor, receiving applause. The film opens in Japan on August 7.
Yoshitaka Amano's long-gestating anime project ZAN, based on his 2010 art collection DEVA ZAN, has revealed its staff and will premiere a pilot film at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles on July 3. The project, now listed as a limited anime series, was originally announced as a film in 2010 and rebooted as a series in 2022. The staff includes several mecha anime veterans who previously worked together on Armored Trooper Votoms. Shigeyasu Yamauchi and Toru Yoshida are directing. Ryosuke Takahashi is handling series composition. Moriyasu Taniguchi is chief animation director. Kunio Okawara is mechanical designer. Minoru Nishida is art director. The story follows a young samurai named ZAN from Sengoku-era Japan who is guided by a mysterious girl, Uzume, into a different world governed by the life symbol Trope and its ruler RIKKA. Alongside the announcement, Amano launched a new US-based company, Yoshitaka Amano Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles, which will focus on animation production, art management, and licensing. An immersive exhibition called AMANO is also planned for global expansion starting in 2027.

The song played during episode 11 of the Loss Arc and marks the first time Takahashi has performed 'Stay Alive' in character since the 1st season. The track became available on streaming platforms on June 18. Takahashi commented that she sang the new version while preserving the original song's emotions but wrapping it in the warmth Emilia now holds, making it a song that stands by Subaru. The franchise also announced details for its 10th anniversary event, 'Starlight Party,' to be held on November 14 at Tachikawa Stage Garden, featuring 12 cast members and musical guests Konomi Suzuki and MYTH & ROID. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on July 17. Rie Takahashi joins the cast as Haru, and Natsuko Yokosawa voices Yukari Natsume, the mother of protagonist Makoto Natsume. The idol group timelesz performs the theme song "Kienai Hanabi," which is previewed in the new trailer. Akira Suzuki directs the film at SynergySP and The Answer Studio, with a script by Kohei Mori and character designs by Yuuji Watanabe. The light novel was published in December 2025 under Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint. Bandai Namco Filmworks announced that Armored Trooper Votoms: Die Graue Hexe will reach Japanese theaters as a two-part film series. The first part opens on November 20, 2026. The date arrived with a new trailer and key visuals. Original Votoms creator Ryōsuke Takahashi returns as supervising director. Kenji Kawai, known for his work on Mobile Suit Gundam 00, is composing the score. Mechanical design duties go to Yoshihiro Sono, who worked on Votoms: AT Stories, and Shinobu Tsuneki, whose credits include Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These. The project was first revealed in January 2026. The second film does not yet have a date. Bandai Spirits and Megahouse, two Bandai Namco subsidiaries, will produce merchandise tied to the films. Bandai Spirits plans a High Grade model kit and a Hi-Metal R figure of the Scopedog in a desert color scheme. Megahouse will release 8cm model kits in its VA-KIT Platoon line. More merchandise details are expected at the 64th Shizuoka Hobby Show, which runs May 16 and 17 at Twin Messe Shizuoka.
