The third and final cour of the Dr. Stone Science Future anime released a new visual ahead of episode 33, which debuted on May 28, 2026. The image shows protagonist Senku Ishigami in a spacesuit, preparing for a journey to the moon. The episode continues the story of Senku and his friends building a rocket and attempting space travel, adapting the final arc of the manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022 and spans 27 volumes. The anime is directed by Shuhei Matsushita at TMS Entertainment, with series composition by Kurasumi Sunayama, character designs by Yuko Iwasa, and music by Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and Yukihiro Kanesaka. The staff for the television anime adaptation of Yu Chiba's Kindergarten Wars manga announced on Thursday that Tetsu Inada will voice the character Gordon, the vice-principal and school nurse at the school. The anime is set to premiere in Japan in spring 2027. Inada joins a previously announced cast that includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita, Kentaro Kumagai as Doug, Hitomi Ohwada as Hana, Satoshi Hino as Luke, and Mariya Ise as Silvia. Shinsuke Gomi is directing the anime at Sunrise and Felix Film, with Junko Yamanaka designing the characters. The manga launched on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022 and has 17 compiled volumes in Japan as of April 2026. Yen Press publishes the series in English physically and digitally, while Shueisha's MANGA Plus platform offers digital chapters. The manga entered its final arc in March 2025 and has over 2 million copies in circulation. A spinoff manga focused on the character Luke launched in November 2024.

The official website for the new Sgt. Frog 20th anniversary anime film, Shin Gekijōban ☆ Keroro Gunsō Fukkatsu Shite Sokkō Chikyū Metsubō no Kiki de Arimasu!, announced seven additional guest voice cast members on Tuesday. The film opens in Japan on June 26. The new guest cast includes Tomokazu Seki as Warrior #7, Natsuki Hanae as an alien, Kōichi Yamadera as the Space Police Chief, JO1 member Keigo Satō and FANTASTICS member Yūsei Yagi as men in Shibuya, Suzanne as a Kumamoto announcer, and Hinatazaka46 member Rina Watanabe as a woman in Shibuya. Watanabe's role marks her first voice acting work. Jesse of the idol group SixTONES voices brothers Aruru and Deruru from planet Keron. Singer ano and comedian Soshina, who perform the opening theme song "Mata Kaettekita KERO! to MARCH," also appear as guest cast: ano plays a researcher robot, and Soshina plays a man in Shibuya. Yūichi Fukuda is supervising director and scriptwriter, with Fumitoshi Oizaki directing at Bandai Namco Pictures. A new Sgt. Frog television anime with a brand-new cast will debut in fall 2026.

The six-episode Takopi's Original Sin anime, which premiered in June 2025, is being re-edited into a theatrical compilation film. The project was announced on May 23, 2026, via the anime's official website. The film is titled Takopi's Original Sin -Thank You, See You Tomorrow- and will include newly added scenes alongside the compiled episodes. No release date has been set. The television series was directed by Shinya Iino (Dr. Stone) at studio ENISHIYA, with character designs by Keita Nagahara and music by Yoshiaki Fujisawa. The voice cast includes Kurumi Mamiya as Takopi, Reina Ueda as Shizuka Kuze, Konomi Kohara as Marina, and Anna Nagase as Azuma. The series streamed on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Crunchyroll, and other platforms. The original manga by Taizan 5 ran in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ from December 2021 to March 2022, spanning two compiled volumes. VIZ Media holds the English license. The anime received seven nominations at the 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2026, including Anime of the Year.

Kadokawa announced on Friday that Tōru Himuka's manga The Eccentric Doctor of the Moon Flower Kingdom is being adapted into a television anime. Koichiro Kuroda, an episode director on Detective Conan and Yowamushi Pedal New Generation, is directing the series at Studio Elle. Risa Mizuno, writing under the pen name Aki Mizuki, is handling series scripts. Akira Ono is designing the characters, Hozumi Gōda is directing sound, and Shiho Terada is composing the music with Highway Star producing. The main cast includes Rina Hidaka as Koyō, Takeo Ōtsuka as Keiun, Taito Ban as Shingdam, and Shōya Chiba as Shiei. A teaser trailer has been released, but no premiere date has been set. The manga began serialization in Kadokawa's Asuka magazine in 2018 and has 15 volumes as of May 2026. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the English edition, which describes the story as a Chinese-style imperial medical fantasy about a young doctor and a crown prince confronting conspiracy and tradition.

The main promotional video for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity, the fourth and final cour of the anime adaptation, has been released. The trailer opens with an intense battle between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach, and features combat sequences involving Kisuke Urahara, Yoruichi Shihouin, the Gotei 13, and Uryu Ishida. The final cour is scheduled to begin airing on Japanese television in July 2026. Ahead of the broadcast, episodes 1 through 3 will be screened in theaters for one day only on June 21. Screenings will take place at six venues across Japan, including Tokyo, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. A premium stage greeting event at United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo will feature voice actors Masakazu Morita, Noriaki Sugiyama, Shinichiro Miki, Yuichiro Umehara, and Shunsuke Takeuchi. Attendees at the member-exclusive screening will receive a limited sticker drawn by original creator Tite Kubo. The film will also debut in U.S. theaters from June 25 to June 29. Kubo has confirmed that this final part will include additional original material expanding on the manga's ending.

Manga creator Yuu Yoshinaga will debut a new series titled Saredo, Futari wa Kusare En (Even So, We Have an Undesirable, Yet Inseparable Love) in the next issue of Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine on June 12. The announcement came from the magazine's June issue, which was released on Wednesday. The story centers on childhood friends Muku Mochigi and Kyo Yakumo, who are constantly at odds with each other but remain stuck together. As they enter high school, their relationship begins to shift in unexpected ways. Yoshinaga is best known for the series Diary of a Female Lead: Shujinkou Nikki, which launched in Betsucomi in August 2021. The main story of that manga concluded in May 2025, and Shogakukan released the 12th and final compiled volume on January 26. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the series in English and shipped the fifth volume on January 13. The series also returned for a short special episode serialization in the August 2025 issue of Betsucomi. The new series marks Yoshinaga's next project following the conclusion of her previous work.

Good Smile Company's Moderoid line adds Evangelion Unit-08α, the variant piloted by Mari Makinami in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. The kit stands 165mm tall, includes a sniper rifle, and uses pre-painted parts and stickers. It releases in Japan for ¥4,500 in October 2026 and in the US for $26.99 in Q1 2027.

The anime adaptation of the manga series Kamiina Botan Yoeru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana, localized as Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk, has released the clean version of its sixth episode ending theme sequence. The television adaptation of The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power added two voice actors to its roster on Friday. Shunichi Toki will play Theodore, and Inori Minase will play Melissa. The anime is scheduled to begin airing in Japan in July on Tokyo MX, BS11, and AT-X. The source material is a light novel series by storywriter Almond with illustrations by Yoshiro Ambe. Earth Star Entertainment published the four-volume series in print between June 2021 and June 2023. J-Novel Club released the complete novel series in English. A manga adaptation by Yona Etou launched on the Comic Earth Star website in April 2022 and is still ongoing.

The ongoing television anime I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class revealed a third promotional video and three new cast members on Tuesday. ASMIK Ace announced the additions. Rikuya Yasuda joins as Nozomu Seki, a classmate of protagonist Maki Maehara. Shinji Kawada plays Itsuki Maehara, Maki's father. Yurina Amami voices Kyoka Minato, a subordinate of Itsuki. The new trailer features the reGretGirl song "Hi no Ataru Kotoba" from 2025. The series premiered on Tokyo MX on April 7 and streams on Crunchyroll. Hideki Tachibana directs at studio CONNECT, with Keiichirō Ōchi writing the scripts and Shoko Takimoto designing the characters. The story follows isolated student Maki Maehara after he befriends popular classmate Umi Asanagi at a video store. Takata launched the original light novel on Kadokawa's Kakuyomu platform in November 2020, and Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko imprint began publishing it in print in December 2021. Rin Ono's manga adaptation runs on the Comic Alive+ website.
