Good Smile Company and Max Factory are adding Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Shikinami from the "Rebuild of Evangelion" films to their PLAMATEA line of movable plastic model kits. Both figures stand approximately 170mm tall and are scheduled for release in December 2026 at 7,700 yen each. The Rei Ayanami kit includes three expression parts-serious, smiling, and glaring-with decals for eye direction, plus a glasses case accessory. The Asuka Langley Shikinami kit includes smiling, embarrassed, and "Are you stupid?" faces, along with a puppet accessory. Both models feature movable joints, pre-painted parts, and color-separated molding. They come with a base that has a movable support arm and can hold weapons from the separately sold MODEROID Evangelion Unit-01 kit. Prototype production is by SELECT D.

Netflix unveiled the first episode art for "The One Piece," WIT Studio's remake of the original One Piece anime, during its Annecy International Animation Film Festival showcase on Tuesday. The image, titled "Romance Dawn -Dawn of the Adventure-", matches the title of Eiichiro Oda's manga's first volume and chapter. The streamer also confirmed that Mayumi Tanaka will reprise her role as Monkey D. Luffy, a role she has held since 1999. The seven-episode first season, covering the East Blue saga through the first 50 manga chapters, will run approximately 300 minutes and stream worldwide on Netflix in February 2027. Masashi Koizuka directs, with Hideaki Abe as assistant director. Character designers and chief animation directors are Kyoji Asano and Takatoshi Honda. Taku Kishimoto handles series scripts. The teaser trailer debuted at a separate "Next on Netflix Animation" panel on June 24. The remake was first announced at Jump Festa '24 in December 2023.

Premium Bandai has opened reservations for a new wave of figures from the One Piece x NBA collaboration, including two large-scale MASTER STARS PIECE figures and a set of 10 deformed World Collectable Figures. The MASTER STARS PIECE line adds Sanji wearing an Indiana Pacers uniform and Nami in a Denver Nuggets uniform, each standing approximately 32 and 36 centimeters tall respectively and priced at 12,100 yen. The World Collectable Figure set, priced at 2,200 yen each, includes Luffy, Enel, Shanks, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Yamato, Law, Ace, and Sabo in a stubby style. Reservations began June 25, 2026, with shipments scheduled for December 2026. The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rokuro Uraji's novel series "Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai" ("I am the only one who is not attacked in the world filled with zombies") opened on June 25, 2026, revealing a teaser promotional video, teaser visual, main cast, staff, and a delayed premiere. The anime will now debut in January 2027 on the premium AT-X channel, having been previously planned for 2026. The Dr. Stone television anime concluded on June 25, 2026, with the final episode of its fourth and final season, Dr. Stone SCIENCE FUTURE. The protagonist Paracelsus is a reincarnated person who works as a modest alchemist while hiding his cheat skills. The original work began as a personal project on pixiv in 2020 under the title "Isekai de Ganbaru Hanashi," drawn in rough sketch format by Jiro Sugiura. It gained word-of-mouth support and ranked 12th in the Web Manga category of the Next Manga Award 2022. A commercial manga version illustrated by Umemaru began serialization in 2023 on Kadocomi. The manga has a cumulative circulation of over 1 million copies. Comments from Sugiura and Umemaru were also released. Further details such as the broadcast period will be announced later.

Kadokawa announced on Thursday that Jirō Sugiura and Umemaru's manga The Fake Alchemist will receive a television anime adaptation produced by Studio Passione. The announcement included a commemorative trailer, a teaser visual, and special illustrations of the character Nora drawn by both Sugiura and Umemaru. The manga, which began as an indie web novel, has sold over 1 million copies in Japan in its commercial edition. Sugiura expressed surprise at the adaptation, thanking supporters, while Umemaru said he looks forward to seeing the story animated. The story follows Paracelsus, a reincarnated alchemist hiding his cheat skills in the city-state of Orichalconia, who contracts with a shaman slave-girl named Nora and later meets an elf named Coco who has lost all four limbs and five senses. As war escalates, the students are ordered to nurse the wounded in a military hospital hidden in a cave, and they lose friends one by one. The anime originally debuted on BS-NHK in March 2025 and later aired on NHK General that August. The music was composed by Kensuke Ushio, and Hitomi Tateno, a former Studio Ghibli animator, served as animation producer. The studio Sasayuri produced the anime. Gkids said it will announce home entertainment plans and details about the English-language cast later this year.

HoYoverse released the Steam version of its urban fantasy action RPG Zenless Zone Zero on June 17, 2026. The game is free-to-play with item-based monetization. It was previously available on PlayStation 5, PC via HoYoPlay and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, Android, and iOS. The Steam version supports cross-play and cross-save, allowing players to transfer their existing account data. The launch coincides with Version 3.0, titled "Confessions of a Dream Player," which introduces two new S-rank agents: wind-element Verina and fire-element Normu. The PC version received a visual upgrade including ray tracing, DLSS super resolution, and frame generation. Shortly after release, the Steam version recorded a peak concurrent player count of approximately 13,000, according to SteamDB. User reviews on Steam are "Very Positive" with about 900 reviews and 90% positive rating. Many reviews come from players who previously played on other platforms and expressed satisfaction with the Steam release.
