BANDAI SPIRITS is expanding its PlanoSaurus Gachikoseibutsu-bu series with two new dinosaur plastic models, both releasing on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The Mosasaurus 1899 is based on an 1899 restoration illustration, reproducing mane-like scales from the back of the head to the tail and a straight tail, as interpreted at the time. The Iguanodon is based on a complete skeleton discovered in the 1870s, depicting the dinosaur standing like a kangaroo and dragging its tail. Both kits are non-scale and include a name seal and base. The PlanoSaurus series uses a touch gate system, allowing parts to be popped off the runner without nippers, and snap-fit assembly, so no adhesive is needed. Each model features a Skeleton Build, where joints are movable, and a Dinosaur Build, where skin parts attach over the skeleton. The Mosasaurus 1899 has an opening and closing mouth and movable fins and tail for swimming poses. The Iguanodon has a movable mouth, neck, limbs, and tail for varied display. The Mosasaurus 1899 is priced at 1,980 yen, and the Iguanodon at 1,925 yen, both tax included.
Apple reported its third-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings on July 30, with revenue of $109.417 billion, up 16% year-over-year, and net profit of $29.789 billion, up 27%, a record for the April-June period. iPhone sales drove the growth, rising 22% to $54.252 billion, while Mac revenue climbed 29% to $10.352 billion and services, including the App Store and iCloud, grew 12% to $30.739 billion, both also setting records for the quarter. iPad sales fell 6% to $6.191 billion, and the wearables segment, which includes Apple Watch and AirPods, rose 6% to $7.883 billion.
